Our Mission
We empower, encourage and equip individuals seeking assistance to regain stability and reintegrate into community by providing a streamlined plan while partnering with top notch resources for relief, advocacy and connection.
Our Story
Amber founded The James Relief Project in 2020 after losing her brother James to fentanyl poisoning. James, struggled for years with mental illness and addiction, and despite entering program after program, nothing seemed to bring lasting change. Amber witnessed firsthand the immense challenges individuals face while trying to rebuild their lives, along with the setbacks that could take years to overcome. She noticed that people like James were often overlooked, leaving them feeling isolated and those around them feeling helpless to intervene.
The James Relief Project was created to bring hope to those seeking a fresh start and to ease their journey by partnering with them as they take the necessary steps toward rebuilding their lives. The mission is to encourage and empower these individuals, championing their resilience while providing a clear, streamlined plan to help them achieve their goals and build a brighter future.
We firmly believe that encouragement is pivotal in nurturing hope and purpose within people's lives. This conviction has led us to develop six foundational principles of encouragement.
-
We foster confidence, strengths and the potential for each person we work with.
-
We inspire, support and motivate people to pursue their goals and overcome challenges with positivity and affirmation.
-
We demonstrate calmness, tolerance and understanding during moments of difficulty or delay on each individual journey.
-
We emphasize that joy is not dependent on our circumstances, but the ability to be content believing that God is working all things for our good.
-
God is always with us and desires a relationship with us. We believe in the importance of talking to God regularly.
-
We do not rely on our own strengths but on God’s power and guidance.
